How do I brew it?
One bag per cup, three minutes. Assam and Chai take milk if you want it. Kahwa, Earl Grey, Oolong and Moringa are best drunk black.
Can I use the bag twice?
You can, and the second cup will be lighter. These are whole-leaf bags, so there is more in them than in a standard tea bag.
It says loose leaf, but they are tea bags. Which is it?
Both. The leaf inside is whole loose leaf, not dust or fannings. It is packed into a bag so you do not need a strainer.
What is in it
Do any of the teas contain nuts?
Yes. Comforting Kahwa contains almonds. It is a traditional Kashmiri kahwa and the almonds are part of the recipe. Every ingredient list is on the product page and on the box.
Is there caffeine in them?
Assam Orthodox, Chai Tea and Magical Earl Grey are black teas. Himalayan Oolong is semi-oxidised. Comforting Kahwa and Melodious Moringa are green tea based. All six are made from the tea plant, so all six contain caffeine.
Do you add flavourings?
No. Magical Earl Grey uses real bergamot oil; everything else is whole leaf, whole spice, whole botanical.
Is there added sugar?
No.
Storage and dates
How should I store it?
Somewhere cool and dry, away from strong smells. Tea takes on whatever is next to it, so keep it out of the spice cupboard.
Where is the best before date?
On a label on the box, along with the batch number and the packing date.
Where it comes from
Who makes it?
The teas are grown, blended and packed in India by Moitree Enterprises in Nagaon, Assam, an ISO 22000:2018 producer. The black teas are Assam first flush. The green and oolong are high-grown Himalayan.
Are the tea bags plastic-free?
The bags are the eco-friendly type. If you need the exact material specification for composting, email us and we will send it.
