Why SoulistiQ

The whole plant, from where it grows best.

Most of what is sold as tea in Britain is dust and fannings, the broken bits left over after processing, packed into a bag so fine you cannot see what is in it. Most of what is sold as a herbal supplement is an extract: the plant boiled and concentrated until one number can be printed on the tin, and the rest thrown away.

We took the other road. Whole leaf, not dust. Whole root, not an extract. The plant as it grows, from the part of India where it grows best, with as little done to it as possible on the way to you.

Four things we hold to

1. The grade, not the gimmick. First flush. Whole leaf. Whole root. These words mean something precise in the trade, and we use them only when they are true. Our teas are the first pluck of the season, orthodox rolled so the leaf stays whole. Every bag is sealed in its own envelope, so the last cup tastes like the first.

2. From where it grows best. Everything we sell comes from India, from the regions each plant is known for, and is packed at source. Our teas are grown and blended for us on one farm in the Himalayan foothills. We import it ourselves. There is no distributor in between.

3. Nothing added that does not need to be there. No artificial flavourings, no colourings, no added sugar in the teas. No fillers, no binders, no flow agents in the capsules. If an ingredient is on the pack, it is there because the recipe needs it.

4. We only say what we can show. Every batch is traceable to the farm, and the paperwork is held on file. We make no health claims, for the teas or the botanicals. UK law allows almost none for plants like these, and we would rather tell you exactly what is in the box than what it might do for you. Open a bag. Look at the leaf. That is the argument.

Who we are

SoulistiQ is a small company in London, built around one idea: that the plant, grown well and left alone, is worth more than anything you can add to it. We sell six whole leaf teas and one botanical, and we would rather do those well than do more.
